To be American means to have rights and have papers(Birth certificate in America).Have more opportunity to get a job than a immigrant. That you belong in the U.S.A not to another country. To be American means to be free to do whatever but have rights. Have a chance to vote. In the American life you live in the U.S.A and have more rights to protect you than a immigrant. The American life is that you live in a home and have a car and don't worry about anything like work. Being American is believing in the idea that you can have a better life and future. Also, it means having rights that everyone deserves and should have. Being an American is having freedom to have power, and the freedom to act. You have right to say what you want to say- freedom of speech. For some, being American means being born in America. As an  American, you have a better opportunists. Choice or being able to choose(From options and opportunists) is what makes America America.
